ETF Industry KPI – 5/17/2021

Week of May 10, 2021 KPI Summary

This week, the industry experienced 7 ETF launches and 0 closures, shifting the 2021 1-year Open-to-Close ratio to 1.70 and total US ETFs to 2,499. A down week for assets this past week measured at -1.56%, the lowest in fact since the final week of February 2021, -2.20%. Another data point that stood out was the revenue from traditional and active ETFs dipped with Non-Traditional surging 10.2% from last week to constitute 41.25% of the sector this week. Lastly, the ETF expense ratio 12-month revenue jumped 5.0% from the previous week to $11.36 Billion currently. Both indexes experienced minimal change this week, Toroso ETF Industry Index was down -0.55% while the S&P Financial Select Sector Index led at 0.32%.
