ETF Industry KPI – 3/08/2021

Week of March 1, 2021 KPI Summary

This week, the industry experienced 8 new ETF launches and 2 closures, shifting the 2021 YTD Open-to-Close ratio to 1.24. Minimum change in assets this past week, up 0.07%. Looking at the indexes, Active ETF assets have crossed the two hundred-billion-dollar mark and have increased approximately 20% over the past three months, with Non-Traditional increasing 8% and Traditional index ETFs up 5%. Traditional indexes still manage the most assets of the three categories, 67.4%, with Non-traditional trailing behind at 28.3%, yet totaling more than half of the total number of ETFs: 1263 total ETFs. Both indexes experienced some change this week, Toroso ETF Industry Index was up 3.17% and S&P Financial Select Sector Index led at 4.38%, with 9.84% and 14.43% YTD respectively.
