Thank you KraneShares for including our ETF Think Tank Members at the special dinner with Dr Hong Liang. Great timing and constructive insights!
A summary will follow:
Dr. Hong Liang joined CICC in 2008 and currently serves as Chief Economist and Head of Research. She previously served at the firm as the head of Capital Markets from 2008-10 and co-head of Sales and Trading from 2011-13. Dr. Liang obtained her Ph.D. in Economics from Georgetown University in 1998, and her B.A. in International Relations from Peking University in 1991. She joined CICC from Goldman Sachs (Asia) where she served as Managing Director, Chief China Economist and Co-head of Asian Pacific Economic Research over 2003-08. Before that, she worked at the IMF as an economist from 1998-2003. Dr. Liang has been published widely in both academic as well as leading business journals on exchange rate issues and the Chinese economy.
