Week of June 14, 2021 KPI Summary
  • This week, the industry experienced 12 ETF launches and zero closures again, shifting the 2021 YTD Open-to-Close ratio to 1.89 and total US ETFs to 2,541.
  • Summer officially started yesterday, June 20th, so let’s look back on Spring 2021’s impact on the ETF industry.
    • 2.87% increase in total US ETFs (+73) and a 5.98% increase in total assets (approximately $380 Bn)
    • 13.55% increase in ETF ER 12-month revenue
    • Slight rise in Non-Traditional beta revenue (0.21%) with Active dipping comparatively (0.17%)
    • As for the geography sector, Global ETFs have increased in terms of total funds (4.24%) more than Emerging, International, and US proportionally, but International has seen the biggest growth in assets this Spring (2.08%).
    • 13 additional issuers by brand
  • Both indexes experienced decent growth during Spring 2021 (3 months), Toroso ETF Industry Index was up 5.76% while the S&P Financial Select Sector Index trailed at 2.23%.
