ETF Industry KPI – 2/22/2021

Week of February 15, 2021 KPI Summary

This week, the industry experienced 4 new ETF launches and 0 closures, updating the 2021 YTD Open-to-Close ratio to 1.02 and the total US ETFs to 2,346. Though overall US ETF assets decreased 0.44% this week, it has grown approximately 12% in the past 3 months. Over the last 3 months, US Total Assets by Geography, which make up 75.5% of Total ETF assets, are actually trailing the International, Emerging, and Global categories at about 10% growth. Meanwhile, the Security Master’s Global category has increased 30%, with Emerging and International at 19% and 12% respectively. Both indexes experienced minimal change this month, and the Toroso ETF Industry Index is trailing the S&P Financial Select Sector Index in YTD returns. TETFindex is up 8.28% while S&P leads at 10.00% YTD.
