ETF Industry KPI – 02/15/2021

Week of February 8, 2021 KPI Summary

This week, the industry experienced 9 new ETF launches and 1 closure, updating the 2021 YTD Open-to-Close ratio to 1.00 and the total US ETFs to 2,342. Though US ETF assets increased 2.01% this week, it has jumped approximately 19% in the past 6 months. Even though Equity ETFs are up over $100 Bn in that time period (22%), the most growth has been seen in Options ETFs which have grown 54% in 6 months, as well. Additionally, in the 6-month period, revenue from Active ETFs has elevated from 7.05% to 10.18%. Both indexes experienced minimal change this month, but the Toroso ETF Industry Index is still outperforming the S&P Financial Select Sector Index in YTD returns. TETFindex is up 7.11% while S&P follows at 6.98% YTD.
