Should the Nasdaq 100 Be Equally Weighted?

We noted that 73% of EW ETF assets are versions of “traditional” indexes, such as RSP which is an EW version of the S&P 500. A recent ETF ThinkTank discussion revealed that one of the most popular “traditional” indexes is actually unique. Unlike most traditional indexes that target a sector or a specific market capitalization, the Nasdaq 100 (QQQ) is an amalgamate of different sectors and market caps that are primarily linked by the exchange they chose to list on.
