Week of July 26, 2021 KPI Summary
  • This week, the industry experienced 5 new ETF launches and no closures, shifting the 2021 YTD Open-to-Close ratio to 2.26 and total US ETFs to 2,605.
  • The month of July was a good month in the ETF Industry
    • Total assets increased approximately 1.47%, an increase of 48 ETFs to total US ETF count, and 11 additional issuers by brand.
    • From our 11 asset class categories, Allocation increased the most (5.81%) and Volatility had the largest drop (-6.76%).  The two largest asset classes of Equity (77.70% of assets) and Fixed Income (17.66%) both grew 1.30% and 2.13% respectively.
  • Overall, while assets fluctuated in July and finished in the black, there were nearly a dozen ETFs per week launched, pushing the Open-to-Close ratio even higher to 2.26.
  • Both indexes experienced minimal change in July, Toroso ETF Industry Index was up 0.10% while the S&P Financial Select Sector Index trailed at -0.44%.
